I love the old women with the prayer wheels and also the different people prostrating at different times. Such a different world. You look good too. So happy for you.
Thank You! What beautiful countryside. I love the photo of the ladies in hats and aprons. The lady with giant prayer wheel is pretty cool too. I can see why you would want one! Thanks for being there. Hey, Camille has a couple of schools interested in having students follow your blog. It's a warm up for the next Monks tour, possibly in the spring. happy trails.
Hi Jon, Its Chris from the Dharma Center, got the blog address from Ginny. I was quite taken to know that you are in Tibet. Wow! I have begun to read some of your postings and see that you have has some difficulties - Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. When in dobut - pray to Tara. Take care and wish you all the best.
I'm finally tuned in and checking your blog. Tracy arrived in Lhasa last week and promptly got quite sick for 24 hours - must be the altitude. Did you see any of the preparations for the big Chinese celebrations there?
Hope you get in the swing of a new school session and feel better soon. Lots of people here asking about you, we have your blog address on the bulletin board now.
We miss you and love you and wish you well! Gretchen P.S. and love the pictures - you're good at pictures for sure!
"When harmful places are abandoned, disturbing emotions gradually diminish. Being without distraction, virtuous endeavors naturally increase. Being clear-minded, certainty in the Dharma arises. Resorting to secluded places is the Bodhisattva's practice." - from the 37 Bodhisattva Practices
"In brief, this alone is the definition of introspection: the repeated examination of the state of one’s body and mind. I shall practice it with my body. What is the use of merely reading the words? Will a sick person have any benefit merely by reading about medical treatments?"-Shantideva

Hi Jonathan,
I was teaching Shamatha tonight in Rochester NY and somebody told me about yr blog.
I went there with some friends in 99. I have breezed through yr blog here and I get yr homesick bit.
Caught yr teacher link. Garchen Rinpoche is the real deal as you well know.
Try calling the Lama From Afar practice.
You can do this.
